Imran Khan, the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has made it clear that his party will not be intimidated by government repression. In a recent statement, he likened the Shahbaz government’s actions to the oppression faced by the people of Kashmir at the hands of the Indian government.
Khan’s statement came after he sought interim bail in three cases at Lahore’s Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Saturday. Speaking to journalists outside the court, he expressed his willingness to cooperate with the investigation but also acknowledged the risk of arrest.
Despite the challenges, Khan remained determined to hold a rally at Minar Pakistan Ground in Lahore, which he claimed would be the largest in the country’s history. He assured his party workers that they would not back down, even in the face of government persecution.
Unfortunately, the government had other plans. Over 1,600 PTI workers were arrested in an attempt to thwart the rally. Khan condemned the government’s actions, stating that they were using “barbaric methods” against his party. He and his team were ready to make sacrifices for the cause of true freedom.
Khan’s steadfastness in the face of adversity is a testament to his dedication to his party’s mission. His determination to stand firm against government repression has inspired his followers to persevere in the face of adversity. As the fight for justice and freedom continues in Pakistan, Khan and PTI remain steadfast in their commitment to a brighter future for all.
