Man arrested after driving car with ‘two young girls inside’ while drunk on East Marsh OCN News

A man has been arrested in Grimsby after allegedly chasing two young girls in his car while intoxicated.

While patrolling the East Marsh, Humberside Police were alerted to the situation by members of the public who expressed concern for two young girls. They had been seen chased away by a man they suspected of being inebriated.

Police located the vehicle within minutes and said a roadside breath test showed the man, whose age was not specified, was over the drink-driving limit. more than double the legal limit. He was then taken into custody.

A Humberside Police spokesperson said: ‘While patrolling the Eastern Marshes officers were flagged down by members of the public. They expressed concern for two young girls they had seen being chased away by a man they suspected of being intoxicated.

“Within minutes this vehicle was found with the two girls and the driver. It provided a roadside breathalyzer test of more than twice the drink driving limit. This man is now spending the night with us thinking to his actions.”
