He said that the Election Commission of India, New Delhi has issued detailed guidelines for the collection of Aadhaar data from the electors on voluntary basis for verification and linking of Aadhaar number in the electoral roll.

During the campaign period, Aadhaar collection will also be done by the Electoral Registration Officer and Assistant Electoral Registration Officer through e-Seva Kendras, Voter Assistance Centers and Citizen Service Centers. Wide publicity of this program will be done by all the Electoral Registration Officers under Sweep and advertisement will be published in print media for the information of common citizens. Propaganda based activities, whose main objective is to motivate the electors to provide their Aadhaar related information voluntarily, will be reviewed and supervised regularly.

By contacting all the registered electors in the electoral roll, the work of Aadhaar collection is to be completed by 31.03.2023. To make this program successful, awareness campaign will be run by all the Electoral Registration Officers and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers and special monthly camps will be organized at all the polling stations of the district on the following dates.
