It has been decided not to include the team’s vice-captain Shaun Masood in the first ODI against New Zealand.

Surprisingly, Shaun Masood will not be part of the playing XI, with Babar Azam taking over the captaincy in the first ODI.

Chairman PCB appointed Shan Masood as vice-captain two days ago, the captain, head coach and selection committee chose not to play Shan Masood in today’s match.

For the first ODI against New Zealand, middle-order batsman Haris Sohail is also back in the squad, Imamul Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Muhammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha are also part of the playing eleven, while fast bowlers trio Muhammad Wasim, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf will play today while spinner Osama Mir will make his debut and Mohammad Nawaz is also part of the squad.
