Kolkata: The job seekers finally moved away on the assurance of the police. On Saturday night, the candidates for physical education and job training withdrew from the protest. Several people have been protesting in front of the Shaheed Minar for the last 36 days. Although the job seekers talked about new appointments on the basis of complaints, merit and qualifications, their problems were not solved. That is why they had planned to leave for the Chief Minister’s house in Kalighat on Saturday night. The situation may get heated, so many policemen come to Dharmatala premises. Kolkata Police DC South Akash Magaria was present. He spoke to the protesters. After receiving his assurance, they changed their decision to go to the Chief Minister’s house on a stormy night.
One protester said, “We have talked to DC South. Asked why we have to get into this situation? Since I have fully cooperated with you from the beginning in this situation now you will look bad if you go to the Chief Minister’s house. So I urge you to stay safe. So, thinking of him, we decided not to go there on this stormy night. ” Another job seeker said, “We have been fighting since 2019. Didi humane we understand. On the day of Eid, it was announced that 1800 seats would be increased. But it has been two weeks since I went to the commission. No one met us. “
After that, the job seeker cried while talking to the media. He said, “Lightning is falling. Something could happen to us on this stormy night. Look at the situation we are in. ”
In fact, Education Minister Bratya Basu held a meeting on May 5. During the meeting, Bratya said that the recruitment process for SSC will start recently. For this 5 thousand 261 new posts have been created. On the other hand, 1800 posts have been created for work education and physical education. There are 650 posts for work education and 650 posts for physical education. It is learned that this appointment will be made on the basis of merit and qualifications. If there is any mistake in the office, it will be corrected.
But even after two weeks, the job seekers started protesting as there was no solution. Then on Saturday night they planned to leave for the house of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. However, DC South Akash Magaria of Kolkata Police came to the Shaheed Minar around 1.15 pm and spoke to the protesting job seekers. After that, the protesters changed their decision to go to the Chief Minister’s house at night.
