Kolkata: The GTA election will be held on the scheduled day. In other words, the election will be held on June 28. The Calcutta High Court said so on Friday. The court said there was no impediment to the election and the announcement of results. On the same day, Justice Mausumi Bhattacharya said that there is no obstacle in the GTA election. GNLF had filed a case in the Calcutta High Court challenging the validity of the GTA election. They claim that this election cannot be held without amending the constitution. In this case, the High Court informed that preparations for the elections have started. The court should not intervene in this situation. The court gave its verdict in that case on that day.
