KARACHI: The Career Planning and Placement Guidance Center of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET) organized a Job Fair 2023 at the center where more than 102 famous companies of the city participated and set up their stalls to educate the students in terms of sharing knowledge and preparing them to get job opportunities.
About 110 projects were exhibited. The event was attended by Syed Wajid Hussain, Vice President KATI, Maheen Salim, Vice President KATI, and Mr. Siraj Khilji, Convenor Guidance Centre, including a large number of students, faculty and members of KATI.
The Chief Guest of the event, Mr. Faraz ur Rehman, President Korangi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KATI) and Mr. Noman Ahsan, Director General, Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, Mr. Abdul Badih Al-Dada, Director. OIC, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Vice-Chancellor SSUET, Prof. Dr. Vali Uddin, General Secretary of Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys’ Association, Engr. Muhammad Arshad Khan, Registrar SSUET, Syed Sarfraz Ali, Dean Faculty of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aamir, Chairman of the Department of Computer Engineering and Director’s Training Center, Prof. Dr. Shakeel Ahmed and others opened the Job Fair 2022 by cutting the ribbon.
Speaking at the auspicious event, the Chief Guest Mr. Faraz ur Rehman, President KATI said the Careers Fair exhibitions are useful for many students and give big companies a much-needed opportunity to showcase themselves and recruit young people. Recruiters meet, inform and interview hundreds of potential applicants, while job seekers have the opportunity to showcase their skills and make valuable connections with potential employers, mentors, and peers.
Presenting his opinion on this event, Chancellor SSUET, Jawaid Anwar, said that the Career Fair exhibitions give students the opportunity to meet employers face-to-face, learn about existing vacancies and opportunities, and advertise themselves to prospective employers.
